Chaired by Duoguang Bei, President of CAFI
On the morning of October 11, the 4th Expanded Council Meeting of CAFI & the Closed-Door Meeting on the Review and Outlook of Financial Inclusion in China were successfully held and participated by Dongrong Li, President of National Internet Finance Association of China, Duoguang Bei, Co-chair and President of the CAFI Council, Ning Tang, Founder, and CEO of CreditEase, Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles KCMG LVO, Chair of Financial Inclusion Commission (UK), etc.
The meeting was chaired by president Duoguang Bei. Firstly, he extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests and briefly introduced the agenda and topics of this meeting. Secretary-General Chengqing Liu reported the work and the achievements of CAFI in the past year and outlined plans for the coming year to the council members and participants.

At the meeting, President Dongrong Li of National Internet Finance Association of China, Marco MA, Vice President of Visa, Dongning Zhang, Chairman of Bank of Beijing (vice president Lihua Feng received the letter of appointment on his behalf), and Zhiwu Chen, Victor and William Fung Professor in Economics at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Director of the Asia Global Institute (AGI) received the letter of appointment as new council members/academic advisers of CAFI.
At the closed-door meeting held after the Council Meeting, all experts, officials of regulatory agencies and representatives of enterprises and institutions discussed on the following topics "China’s major experiences and lessons of financial inclusion", " problems and challenges of China's financial inclusion", and "the role of the government, the industry and the research institute in the future financial inclusion ecosystem".
